Returns & Refunds Policy
At Doggy Deli, we take great care to ensure every treat, cake, and product is freshly made and safely delivered to you. Because many of our products are perishable and made to order, we are unfortunately unable to accept returns once an order has been dispatched or delivered.
Damaged, Incorrect or Defective Products
If you receive a product that is damaged, incorrect, or defective, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery. To help us resolve the issue quickly, please email or WhatsApp us, and include the following:

Your order number or proof of purchase

Photos clearly showing the issue

A short description of the problem
Once we have reviewed your request, we will offer a refund or replacement, at our discretion, depending on the situation.
General Refund Conditions

Refunds (if approved) will be made to your original method of payment within 7 - 10 business days.

We reserve the right to decline a refund or replacement request if sufficient proof of damage or error is not provided, or if the product issue results from mishandling after delivery.

For health and safety reasons, and in line with consumer protection regulations, we cannot accept returns or offer refunds on opened food products, including dog treats, that are free from defects. Our policy is designed to ensure the safety and quality of products for all our customers.
Cakes and Frozen Goods
Please note that cakes and frozen items can currently only be delivered within Johannesburg due to their perishable nature. If an order is placed for delivery outside of Johannesburg, it will not be shipped or refunded, as this information is clearly stated before checkout.
Our Legal Position under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA)
Under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), customers do not have a general right to return products simply because they have changed their mind or their pet no longer wants the product. This is not considered a valid reason for a refund once the product has been opened or used.
All products sold by Doggy Deli are covered by an implied warranty of quality, which ensures that each item is free of defects and fit for its intended purpose. If a product meets these conditions, this warranty has not been breached.
For hygiene and safety reasons, any opened or partially consumed food items cannot be returned or refunded unless they are found to be defective or spoiled at the time of delivery.
